Hilda Perez is a photojournalist with vast experience in international travel, photography with emphasis on the human condition, and editorial projects. A graduate of the University of Florida, she spent the majority of her career working for three major newspapers in Florida; Miami Herald, South Florida Sun-Sentinel, and Orlando Sentinel.
Currently, full time staff Humanitarian Photographer for Food For the Poor, Inc.
With 18 years experience as a photojournalist, she has covered a variety of assignments including natural disasters, ethnic fighting in Kosovo, embed with Army 3rd Infantry in Iraq, civil turmoil in Jamaica, and multiple issue reportage in Cuba, Germany, Russia, Mexico, Caribbean, Africa, and Latin America.
